my brother justin raced the last race and he ran 1:04 lap times. they put him with the rental karts which had about 8 karts for the feature and they ran 1:06 i believe. they were close the first few laps so you wouldnt be by yourself if you went. still good to try out the track. it is really fun

It would be great if all the 4 cycle guys would give it a try. I drove Ed White's kart at AMP for a few laps. It was fun and I think there could be great racing.

I still like Barnesville better.

Registration (and pricing) is here...

http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/amp-kart-racing-series-atlanta-motorsports-park-557775

$65 for pre-registration
$75 for registration at the track
($15 discount on either entry for AMP members)
$175 Pro Concession class

$20 Transponder rental
$12 Adult pit pass
$8 kid (under 12) pit pass

One thing that surprised me at the race we attended earlier this year was that race registration did not include a pit pass like it does at Barnesville... So factor in a pit pass for drivers as well as crew.

When I mentioned that to Jim Fry last year, they looked at me like I was from the other planet. All tracks around us include driver's pit pass in registration.
Also, no other clubs than at WKA national events have early morning drivers meeting. Meeting is for drivers when drivers are in, it often includes roll call to make sure information by race director heard by all. Having meeting early morning forces all to be there by 8:30am or have meeting with limited number of drivers, which defies purpose of drivers meeting.
