We went to Caffeine and Octane this morning so while we were in that neck of the woods we went up to AMP and watched the race this afternoon.. I was really surprised just how much elevation change there is around the full track! Youtube videos don't do it justice at all. Thought I'd share a few of the better pics:

Thanks! The racing was really good.. The kart track has a few decent spots for spectating/pics. Wish I could have gotten up on the berm on the backside of the track, though!

Sucked that I couldn't make it out for the vega money race but I had scheduling issues and just got an engine rebuilt etc. But even though there is a lot of elevation change, it is a fantastic track. Very fun, very fast and a lot more technical than you would think. There is always good competition up there, like any other new track, at least for the senior class. Very fun track they have made improvements to make it more race-able.

This is a link to a video of a great race by a very fast man known as DannyK

I can't upload my video for what ever reason but that has really great footage of the 4 way battle for 3rd that we had. Danny ultimately won that battle, taking 3rd after starting 14th!

I see couple of Rotax's and a couple of Leopards.

What's the correct (quickest) engine for AMP? Anybody know for sure?

X30 off the bat is faster because you can adjust the carb on track and get it perfect plus they get soo much strait line speed the only engines you will see at amp are rotax and x30. How ever a good rotax can be just as fast plus there is more racing opertunity for rotax at other tracks.
