| Is it feasible to have one chassis and run two different engine setups? I am looking into buying a rolling chassis or a turn key yamaha pipe kart to run with yall at barnesville. Down the road I would also like to run a rotax at amp. Would it be a complete hassle to swap engine setups between weekends, or is it not that bad of a process. I have built a full drag race car, and worked on dirt bikes so I feel I am mechanically knowledgeable. How are the rotax/tag turnouts looking for this year at barnesville? |

Yes it is very feasible. It will take prob an hour maybe lo get to switch. The Rotax/Tag turnouts have not been good but we are hoping to grow it this year. We have 2 karters but there are many more in the area.
Get the Yamaha running and come race with us. You'd be surprised how fast they are. Best time so far that I'm aware of is 24.2, but the times will be in the 23's maybe even next race.
Let me know if you have any questions. _________________ John

We swap between clone, yamaha, and rotax on our chassis. The swap between clone and yamaha is pretty quick, probably around 30 minutes. Rotax takes a little longer because of the battery, wiring harness, pipe mounts etc. But if you have to add ballast anyway and could just leave the battery and wiring harness the Rotax swap would be easy too, especially if each motor had it's own mount.
