We really do appreciate the suggestions and input that have been posted and we are making primarily one change to our posted plan for the GSKA Enduro Event in an effort to support the desires of our GSKA members. However we feel that the use of multiple karts per team would render a potentially unsafe condition for competitors in the hot pit area (infield oval). This would also complicate switching of drivers, the tech inspection process, and potentially time and scoring.
The change that we are implimenting is the option to allow just one driver in the Junior enduro event with a mandatory pit stop where the driver would be required to get completely out of the kart and step both feet onto the oval infield grass, then get back into the kart and resume the race. We would prefer to see two drivers for each Jr. team but will allow (1) driver as desired by the individual race teams.
Again from a safety standpoint, we feel that the two cycle senior and four cycle senior karts need to be run seperately due to the closing rate and speed variation that could cause some potentially unsafe conditions.
I know we are all competitive and of course racing is a competitive sport, but please keep in mind our # 1 goal for this special event is to keep everyone safe and our # 2 goal is to provide a day of fun while we raise the funds to improve our facilities at Lamar County Speedway, the home of the GSKA!

| The Jr. Enduro has been shortened to 30 minutes with one pit stop and the option to run one or more drivers. Hopefully this format will address safety concerns and make it easier for more drivers to participate. |
