Special thanks to everyone who races with GSKA for making these track improvements possible! Today we installed our biggest improvement yet, the new grid shade structure:
At 24' x 41' it covers the full grid width, and will cover 10-12 karts in single grid, or double that when we are running A and B grid. It doesn't block the track view at all, and should make spring and summer racing much more enjoyable!
Our next major project will be to install new fencing from track exit out to Hwy 36, along Hwy 36, and down in front of the far-side bleachers. The track owners are donating a free track day for us to raise funds for this project, and we are currently planning a Enduro Day which will likely feature:
Junior Enduro Race
4 cycle Sr Enduro Race
2 cycle Sr Enduro Race
We'll probably have the fundraiser enduro day after the regular season is complete, the cooler weather should make the extended track time much more fun, and if something gets broken you'll have plenty of time to fix it :).
