In a unanimous vote, the GSKA board of directors voted to remove the engine claim provisions in it's Clone classes. This decision is based largely on the fact that the "clone" engine has became the predominant 4 cycle racing engine in the Southeast. With the recent addition of the clone classes to the WKA Gold Cup series, the engine is poised to become the most popular 4 cycle racing engine nationwide. With a standardized set of rules being established, it has become more practical to tech the engine just as we would any other racing engine. It is the board's opinion that this direction is the more professional and less controversial way to handle these popular classes. Competitors should expect and be prepared for more frequent and more in-depth post-race technical inspection, so please review the current rulebook to ensure you are in complete compliance with the current rules. We'd also like to remind everyone to make sure and purchase your fuel the morning of the race to ensure your fuel will pass the digitron meter. _________________ Darrin Tebbe |
