|This thread is to discuss the upcoming 2011 Clone Racing Season. GSKA board members will monitor this thread and answer any questions competitors may have. I will try to maintain a FAQ in this first post that will be derived from the discussion in this thread. Let's KEEP IT POSITIVE but feel free to post your comments and suggestions.
Q: Will GSKA follow WKA engine rules in 2011?
A: Yes, the 2011 GSKA rules follow the WKA Engine rules.
Q: Will there be spec tires in 2011?
A: Yes there will be spec tires in 2011. Spec tires for Senior classes are the same as 2010. The Junior classes will all race on Dunlop DDM which are a proven tire and the tire used by WKA in it's 4 cycle Jr classes.
Q: What are the biggest changes for 2011 vs 2010?
A: The biggest changes are as follows:
1. Spec tire in Junior classes
2. All classes must race heat & feature on the same tires they qualify on
3. "Pencil" pipe and new RLV spec mini-muffler required for all classes
4. Aftermarket air filter & air filer adapter allowed for all classes
5. Idle jet now a tech item
Q: Why are we going up to 320# for the clone Junior 2?
A: The WKA weight for the Jr. 2 class is 320, we have attempted to match the WKA weights in the classes where it was not far off (ie. Jr 2 is 320 and Sr Heavy is 375)
