Hi All , Just want to introduce myself for those Jr 4 cycle parents that have probably seen me around the track , but, not sure of my background.
I started karting in 1973 and raced until mid 1980's . Durring that time I co-owned a kart shop and track " County Kart Center " and " Cape Vessy Motorsport Park" in Ontario Canada . I had raced almost every class back then starting with "rookie Sr " and ending with "C" opens. I am not a stranger to Barnesville as I raced every Winter Olympics durring that time and actualy have rubbed wheels with Dickie Wilson and Bob Bartholomy back years ago .
I took a few years off to crew on Dirt Modifieds in upstate New York and then play with offshore boats until I moved to Georgia in the late 90's
I would love to see this club grow and grow and fill the fields with karts and haulers it once had. If any of you have witnessed a race here in the 70's you know what I mean.
A lot of you know me at the track and I will help anyone and everyone if they ask , my trailer is always open and if you need a part and I have it then its yours.
I Love bench racing and talking old times , but, I race in the present . Old times are fun , but, I am more interested in what is coming out new , what do I need to make sure my karts have the most up to date equipment. AND TO GO FAST...
I am looking forward to a great new season and working with Darrin and the rest of the BoD. And I will do my best to be at every race and informed of latest rule changes , updates , and anything else you may require . If I do not know the answer I will find out and you will get an answer quickly.
Lets have a great 2011

In my case that is a good idea!
Good luck next year Steve. If there is anything I can do just ask.
I also would like thank everyone for letting me be Jr 4-cycle director last year and the Sr 4-stroke director the previous year. It has been an honor! _________________ Rippin Racing
