Need Some Help

I am wanting to put some black and white tile down in my workshop, and I don't know how many tiles to buy.

The workshop is 9ft. 5in X 11ft. 5in. and the tile I want to buy is 12in. X 12 in.

So, how many tiles do I need to get?

Round up on your width and length, so you get 10' x 12'. That gives you 120 square feet, so you'll need 120 tiles. You'll have to cut the edges to fit obviously, but should be easy enough with a straight edge and a razor knife.

Measure your length and width in several spots...don't assume it's perfectly square. Somebody may have some good installation tips, but I think you want to start in the middle of the room and work out from there.

What paint do y'all suggest and is there a covering I should get?

What ever you do Josh make sure you square the room. This is done by pulling a line down the middle of the room then pull another line across the room then measure down one line 3' then down the other line 4' then measure across from the 3' mark to the 4' mark and you should have 5' between them if not ajust your lines. If you need any more info just give me a call. What kind of floor do you have now (plywood, concrete)? Because this will tell me what kind of paint you could use.

Josh, you would be better going with a sheet vinyl flooring, for what you are wanting to do by the time you purchase all the paint to make the plywood look good, you could have purchase a nice vinyl floor.
