Congradulations to Kevin on his win Trophy last night against the Bama' boys who are two of the best that Rotax has to offer in the Southeast. Kevin, you drove a great race and represented B'ville Rmaxers perfectly. You just keep gettin faster and faster!!

Ditto Kevin, great race. Jory was also right there, watching the battle from 4th position.

Kevin,
Fabulous race! You drove extremely well, the best I have ever seen you race. Your chassis was working great too. Of course your CMC powered Rotax didn;t hurt you either!

Congratulations!!

Brent-
You said it man. That was awsome and Kevin drove a smart and clean race but one of the best moments of the race came for me was when the second and third place finishers showed their class by congratulating Kevin in tech impound.

I would like to again give a great big thanks to ALL the SERSS rotax racers for putting on a wonderful event.

This is what Carl and I envisioned when we set out to expand the series, and all the thanks go out to every rotax racer.

I was awsome to see all the junior drivers who joined us last night, we had five minis and three juniors racing, and congradulations should go out to first Michael Bilyy and his win in mini, this after being out qualified by Angus Hunt, still haven't figured out how the outside pole took turn one first, I did not think that was possible with good start, and secondly a pat on the back for Nick Lefferdo for his first win in rotax junior, that has to be real sweet for Nick and his dad Bob. Nick is forced to race while Bob shares his time with Nick and making sure every GSKA racer is treated to as close to a perfect day at the track as possible. GSKA is very lucky to have the caliper of person heading up GSKA.

Let's all make plans for putting on another great event when SERSS goes to Decatur July 25th. Until then enjoy your time off.

RS

I don't think that CMC power had anything to do with it, those front brakes that allowed Kevin to out brake for his pass in two made the difference, it was one of the few times front brakes really made that big of a difference. Rotax engines are the most equal engines in karting today, and I am sure the folks at BTK and SSC will agree.

Rick,
Do you have any numbers on how many GSKA racers will be going to the July 25th race? I would like to head over there to cover this for GSKA. Just post them up or PM me when you have a count.
Thanks,
Paul "photoman"

Rick you are exactly correct. The motor I was running was one of our back-ups that I thought I did'nt like.(Not anymore) With that said I have never had a power issue(or lack of) with my motors. The things that made a difference were:

1)Chassis set-up and
2)Correct jetting of the carb
2)Good, determined driver
3)Front Brakes(did'nt hurt either)

And for all of you who may wonder.( I think Rick will agree with this)
Chassis is always 1st on the list... For me or anyone else.. Without it being right you can forget running fast and consistent. Also Kevin has been great in the open-minded department.. When he has struggled he is willing to ask for help... Look where it got him..

Paul, thanks for the great pictures, I am sure the BCKC guys would welcome you in the same way GSKA does, but the event on 7/25 is a rotax series race and I am not sure how many GSKA members will be attending.
