Thanks Rick and Carl for organizing it. Well worth the trip from SC. Connor Jevens had a blast and enjoyed his first win even though it did come a little easy after Ross ended up in the grass. Ross looked awesome all afternoon and deserved the win.
And then hats off to the minis - that was great racing.
Thanks also Rick and Carl for all the help with set up. It was fun to watch Ross and Connor nose to tail.
Hey Carl, we are hoping to keep you busy for the rest of the year working on making Ross's kart go faster. Very Happy

I agree Mont is an absolute blast of a track. I liked it even better then Jacksonville.

My result was pretty disappointing- qualified well (4th, I believe) and within striking distance of the front-runners. Lap one, turn one I found Wes's rear tire up on the back of my seat- no one knows exactly what happened but the net result was a slashed rear tire (broken power valve, dented pipe, chunked rotor) and a heat race that ended in the 1st 1/2 of lap one.

Starting from the back in the feature I was pleased to have passed a few guys and made my way up to 4th, I believe... Monticello is wierd in that you get the feeling your closer to the guy ahead (and that the guy behind is right there) because of all the switchbacks. Anyway, I kept pedaling hard wanting that 3rd place spot when as Patrick French said I "#@it the bed" in turn 1 with a little 90' spin... just enough to lose momentum and watch Wes & Brandon go back by.

Oh well, live & learn.

I read a quote today that I may have to add as a signature...

It's not if you win or lose that's important, it's if I win or lose that's important... Very Happy

See you guys for the night race.
