Cory, your coming by to get me. right?

I guess.......now that I know. Why Thursday night, we can just leave about 4 in the morning Friday and still get enough practice in that afternoon. As long as I start with my setup from last time.

Has anyone checked to see if we can practice on Friday?

Cory,
Don't trust your setup from last time. Everything has changed since last season and you'll need to start from scratch like those of us going for the first time. I think it's due to global warming.

Where's a good place to stay near the track?

Three hotel choices around the track:

Quality Inn - 23 miles
Super 8 - 10 miles
Days Inn - 10 miles

Several B & B's and campgrounds check out the lodging section on our forum for more.

Saturday race schedule for Monticello is as follows:

8:00 am - Gates Open
8:00 am - Registration Opens
9:00-11:00 am - Practice by group/class (10 minute sessions)
11:00 am - Registration Closes
11:30 am - Drivers meeting
12:00 pm - Racing Begins

Qualifying will be timed 8 minute sessions with hot-pits, pre-finals will be 10 laps, finals are 12 laps. Track configuration is not set at this point but will be announced on our forum shortly before the race day.

Please bring your transponder to registration and be sure to tell the person in registration your transponder number, along with your correct class. Limited number of transponders will be available for rent at the track.

Scales will be open at first practice. Please do not drive under power over the scales.

There will be a pre-race safety inspection, please bring your helmet when called.

You will need to bring your own fuel (MS93) and oil (Motul), neither is available at the track.

Combining of classes with others of like speed may be needed and will be determined after a timed practice session. Combined classes have the option of either starting by time or as separate classes with multiple green flags (visitors choice), can be separated by 1/4 mile or so.
