How is this race being scored? NFKC does not have a timing system.

I don't know how many points are awarded to each position, but I'm assuming you have the same question I did, how is qualifying going to happen?

It is my understanding that we are running under the same program the host club is running at each track. In the case of Jacksonville, there are two heat races and a final, like we used to do at B'ville regular races before the awesome AMB scoring was brought in.

Initial grid will be set by the sign-in sheet, Heat 1 results determine Heat 2 Grid. I don't know if the Final is set by Heat 2 results, or the average of Heat 1 and Heat 2 results.

Again, this is just my understanding, not official, and is probably subject to change like the track configuration was.

Has anyone thought about asking the GSKA if the timing system can be borrowed or rented? When we raced the Man Cup at Jax, they had a timing loop in the track.

We should be able to use GSKA timing system connected to their loop.

Ihor,
Last time the loop was used was the WKA Nationals, something like 3-4 years ago. Since National events no longer come to Jacksonville I would not assume the loop is functional. Jax103 is a public park and things there end up "missing" or destroyed such as certain signage, BBQ grills, and on at least one occasion the loop was destroyed by either the grass mowers or the local thugs.

Hey Jeff,
Give the fine folks at north fl kart club a chance, The club has only been around since 1968 it takes a few decades to gather up the funds to buy a timing and scoring system. Shocked (tounge firmly in cheek).

P.S. Got your tires, see ya Friday!
