Bump drafting with the right dance partner at Jax wil give you anywhere from a .5 to .7 tenths pick up per lap. Gotta love that 1/4 mile long back straight.

Alan,
When Jesse was running with the other kids and they were working together, the mychron recorded a 39.8, so we weren't stuck in the 40's all day, just most of it. I think that the time came partly from drafting, but mostly from him chasing/racing them.

At least we'll be close enough to the pace to be respectable. The names John listed included some pretty serious talent. With a good tailwind, we might be able to match them.

The times and names John listed were racing in Comer 80 with something like 12/70. It was also a race, so drafting was heavy. Comer is producing around 12500 RPM (same as Mini) which results in higher top speed. MiniMax can be better because of more horse power in curvy parts of the track.

well, respectable or not, we're going to Disney anyway... We rarely get to see Cyn's Dad, he spends most of his time in Southeast Asia, and is going back again soon.

He let us know yesterday that he booked the tickets and rooms and is flying in that Thursday. Usually we only get a couple days notice... Laughing

You have to have monster Comer and experienced driver, but I remember either Nick Neri or Tyler Thomas did 39.9 in Comer (2007 WKA Man Cup).

Ihor,
I believe that year they were on the older "Red" tires, The new HZ's (White/Red) are faster.
