They did, all Micros run the #500 plate, by luck of the draw (or order of signup) Jesse got his old number, "09".
I don't think there is any qualification standard at this point, so you should have received your number shortly after completing registration. Ours took 24 hours. Maybe the number isn't assigned until you get there if you did not register for the entire series.
