Daniel.. i hate to say it but you missed one of the best days ive seen so far (besides josh getting hurt). there was bumping and banging in every class *which i know we have that everyday* but today everyone is just everywhere. i saw quite a few guys catching a ride on the back of other people |

So, it was the kind of day that was fun to watch but not drive. Or at least not good on the wallet? _________________ Chuck Weaver

Chuck,
You hit the nail on the head. There is just too much over driving. The primary issue I see is that drivers are running up over each other. This was a major issue in the Clone class and in the Junior 4 cycle. We need to all keep in mind that slower is usually faster. Meaning do not over drive the corners. _________________ John

Thanks for the news, Ihor.
Brantley, sorry, that's not my criteria for a good day of racing. A good day is:
1) no wrecks
2) no mechanical issues, especially ones that cost money
3) improve as a driver
Of course, if I'm watching a race on TV, it warms my innards to see drivers I cheer against put it in the fence . . . but I shouldn't say that out loud. _________________ Tonykart EVRR / Adkins Yamaha |

Personally, it was a mixed bag for me yesterday. I spun the starter gear before ever taking the track. Finally got on and tied my personal best at 23.29 during qualifying. Then finished behind Jason and Jamie during first heat, setting another personal best at 23.11. Reality hit during the main when my coil starting cutting out on the warm up lap...again. Just to add to the fun, I spun the starter gear...again...coming in to the pits....and then the back bumper popped out when I put it on the stand. I've never been so mad after a race. Someone almost got a free kart.
On a light note, you missed another memorable warm up lap. Jamie got tired of turning left in the oval so he jumped the bank and took a ride through the grass to the back stretch. We were all just disappointed you weren't there to catch this one on the helmet cam! _________________ Rotax Masters
