The down side is most people would start using a tire prep and cost would go even higher. Hard to police and the dirt racers can vouch for it.

Why would anyone use tire prep in the clone class, I see most everyone trying to free karts up, not get more grip.

I was talking about a 70 durometer rating that some other tracks are making them use. Club SL tires come to mind. They last forever but slip and slide. I believe even a Clone would have trouble on a Flintstone tire that hard.

Heck, I was kidding about the 6" tire deal, but, I see they are legal, I guess I have to take a new approach Smile

Joshua,
Greg uses that pipe and we tested that pipe with a ward pipe. No difference in times that I could see.

Open tires for clone I like. I hope I can bring back a couple more sets from this weekend. Love the nationals. One race day and they pitch the tires Very Happy

Robert this isn't Tag class. Several have been using the 6 inch rims all season. We even used them with the flatheads and animals last year. Usually the group will run what they think will win.

Thank you everybody for your opinion.

Looks like we are keeping the open tire.

Now, where can I find cheap used tires Laughing

You need to keep the open tire rule. You don't won't the tire prepping war started. It is cheaper to buy tires than all of them chemicals trust me!! Josh come see me this Sat at the track I'll be parked near Stevie Roberts, my son will be running animal med, white kart #18 or just ask Mike J to get me, I got a old set of stones you can have.

I think it would be cheaper to be an open tire rule, because, it seems like some people like to use others old tires, sometimes getting them for free. I bet my used tires off of my shifter would work real well on a clone.jm2c

C-There you go again! Those old shifter tires go on "Old 07", so don't you be givin' them away! cb
