For those considering the Clone Enduro or just want to get into karting inexpensively, Harbor Freight has the Honda Clone motors on sale again for only $99.99. You can not even do a rebuild on any motor for this price.

If you need the coupon, send me a private message with your email and I will send you the coupon. The sale end on 9/27

I remember seeing one of these at Jax103, a driver on his maiden voyage on the 1000' straight heard a loud bang (as did many at the track that day) then clunkety-clunkety-clunkety... He pulled in the hot pits lifted his visor and without looking down at his motor said to me is it bad? I said do you want the good news or bad news? He says gimme the good news. I said the carburetor was knocked loose. He said COOL! thats not too bad what 's the bad news? I said it was the rod that took the carb out. He said AAaarghh!!! You get what you pay for.
Yeah a Honda GX costs 4x more but lasts 20x longer, why not use the real thing?

Chuck,
We have been racing these all year at Barnersville with not one engine failure. I have also been on 4cycle.com many times to learn more about these motors and I can not recall any boom booms. As we all know anyone can throw a rod in any motor.

Really? I have over a 1000 laps on my engine and just changed the oil and no problems.

Cant beat that for $100

As far as I know I dont know anyone that has had an engine failure in this class....it will happen but for the price reliability has so far been spectacular.

Nope, but who cares when you are running stock. If I need to buy parts, Steve Roberts and Lewis Stout have parts.

What does the yellow ones sell for? and I thought they were all stock. What parts, I thought you just throw them away and get a new one. But, I am glad to see Steve has parts, I know who to send people to when asked.

ARC also comes with governor removed and throttle linkage already hooked up so its a bit more expensive. ($150+)

I was talking about my Blue Harbor Freight motor that was $100.
Either way I couldnt afford to race if it wasnt for this class!
