Is anybody planning to run both Masters and Seniors this weekend? If not, would there be any opposition to combining classes since this isn't a Rotax qualifier? _________________ Rotax Masters

I know Daniel was planning to run Rotax and rent his kart to someone else for Tag, so hopefully we can keep the two separate. _________________ Rotax Masters

We want to make racing as much fun as possible. Personnally I always want to see more guys in a race group so everyone has someone to race. So here is my question to the Rotax drivers.
1. Do you want to be combined Rotax Masters and Rotax Sr.
2. Are you ok if Tags Race with the Rotax
3. Are any of the Rotax drivers plan on entering both Rotax and Tag.
If you plan to race Rotax and or Tag, please pre-register so we can try to determine the appropriate groupings prior to Saturday.

My vote is:
Group Rotax Masters and Seniors together
Group Tag & Tag Heavy together

On second thought, with no more than I've run this year it probably won't matter ! |

John ,
My vote is to run everything together , I really don't see the point of having a class with 5 karts and another class with 3 or 4 karts , We all know the track can handle it as years ago we ran 30 to 40 karts in a race. The more karts on the track the more fun it is.

The way I look at it is even though this race is not a Rotax Qualifier, guys are still racing for GSKA Class Championships. You are talking about two different classes - Rotax is sealed motor, spec tire. Tag is open motor and open tires.
If you want to race with the Rotax class - buy a Rotax.
If the Rotax guys want to run Tag they can sign up for the Tag Class.
It's been working fine for all year and I don't see a need to change it now. |

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought it's been that way for longer than that. _________________ Gary

i just see it as someone in the other class has the potential to accidentally ruin someone elses day. im not sure which is faster but if a TAG kart is about to get overtaken by a rotax and the TAG barely nudges him and sends him spinning, he can lose 3 spots or much worse (wrecks out).
this is seen in the 24 hours of daytona all the time. if we had radios more available it might end this but the chance is still out there. |
