|
|
As some of you may be aware, Summitt Peformance in McDonough, GA has a car show every Monday night. It is free to participants and spectators. It draws a lot of different "car people" from tuners, hot rods, classics, muscle cars with a lot of kids attending.
The turn out is very good, especially in the cooler months : spring and fall (like NOW!). I go down failry often. And since McDonough is fairly close to the B'Ville track, I would bet that the majority of people attending are from near by, thus good potential future karting participants.
Might be a good idea to display a few karts: a clone for the entry level, and a TAG/Rotax/Shifter for the other extreme.
Also, Atlanta Motor Speedway has Friday Night drag racing (1/8 mile?). Could run a few karts there too.
Ran at a local drag strip many years ago and generated a lot of karting interest
Whadda y'all think? cb _________________ "kart racing since 1958, was and still the best bank for the buck in motorsports" |

| if someone wants to try to put up a kick butt video with some of our racing action on it that would help generate interest. if you keep it to 5 or 10 mins it will definately attract people when you have a stand up. |

| if i had some of our classes on video, i could do it. but it would be after the next race before i could get out to the track and get it anyway. if you have movie maker then it is really just an upload, cut, edit, and throw some words and music and it makes a really good video. |

if you use windows then just go to the start bar, click on all programs, scroll to accessories, and then scroll to Windows Movie Maker.
then just add what you want. it can be a time consuming process to get it right. if you have another movie making program then it may be easier. |
