one is a good gear ratio to start out with? clutch? axel?
for 350 lb?
for 400 lb?
tire rec's? brand? size? air pressure?
how freely should an axel spin? (older kart)
How can you free up an axel that seems to be tight?
Move collars?
Don't mean to ask for prep secrets, just ball park numbers. Thanks cb _________________ "kart racing since 1958, was and still the best bank for the buck in motorsports" |

Q)Clutch?
A) Noram seems to be the best value
Q)for 350 lb?
A) 4.5 ratio
Q)for 400 lb?
A) 4.7 ratio
Q)tire rec's? brand? size? air pressure?
A) 6" max width on rear, hard compound i.e. Bridgestone YHC. On YHC 13psi front, 15psi rear to start
Q)how freely should an axel spin? (older kart)
A) VERY free. Make sure the brake pads aren't rubbing and the chain is off. If it still seems tight, loosen bearing set screws and collars. If it is still seems tight, replace bearings. _________________ Jeff Bacon
