Considering going clone, found a kert with a Briggs flathead on it: Thought about buying it, selling the flathed, and buying a clone engine for it.

As the title says: is the briggs worth anyhting?

Just rying to work on a buget and explore possibilities. TY cb

We still have flatheads raced in juniors. The question is weather the engine is built to WKA specs. How many races on it since last rebuild? Is it a legal engine and is it a plate motor or unrestricted? Did a reputable engine builder or back yard builder put it together? The engine is still raced on dirt but it is not bringing premium price like in it's glory days. Nice thing about the kart though is it is setup for 4 cycle and most of the parts crossover to the Clone. If the price is right why not!
