VERY IMPORTANT NEWS - Micro Max

The Rotax Max Challenge director Marshall Martin is happy to announce the Micro Max class has been added to the 2008 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Nationals in Shawano, WI.

For the first time as an exhibition race, the Micro Max class has been added to the full event schedule for the week. Class participants will go through the complete tech inspection on Tuesday, have scheduled practice sessions on Wednesday, qualifying heat races on Thursday and a combination of qualifying and final chance heats on Friday.

Even though this is not a national championship for the Micro Max class, this first ever inclusion means the start of the expanded program which should lead to full competitive recognition in next year's Grand National.

Joe Ramos, President of SSC Racing and the leader of the Rotax Grand Nationals for the US said, "We are excited to add a whole new dimension to the Grand Nationals with this the youngest class in the Max Challenge Series. Bringing these kids into an environment where they can experience the thrill of a national championship event for the first time will be wonderful. We look forward to their exhibition race on Saturday, right in the middle of the rest of the classes."

They had MicroMax registration special available long time ago trying to understand how many will go to the nationals. Apparently there are enough entries for exhibition. I think many canadian micromax drivers will join the fun and thats the only way for them to participate.
