Guys, even if you do figure out the location, please keep this quiet until Jeremy can give you the answer. It really should not matter at this time except that is very convenient, only 25-30 min from downtown and it will be an awesome facility and track. We do not want any interference at this time. You never know what can come out of the wood work.
As to Victory Lane, Yes they have broken ground. _________________ John

If you wanted to keep it hush hush, why did you post it on a PUBLIC forum?
I hope it happens. |

Matt-
I like your way of thinking. If you are going to go big, go BIG.
I guess if you are contemplating ownership, money isn't an issue. I sure hope that as a private/semi-private track that they will allow some of us mere mortal go-kart riff-raff [ ] have a go at it every once in a while.
I imagine track rental (if available) won't be cheap, but I bet the track surface will be epic.
I sure hope the new Atlanta track comes to fruition, I can only imagine what a logistical, financial, environmental and zoning nightmare it must have been to build a kart facility in this day and age. My hat is off to all those involved.
It seems odd, in a state with such rich racing tradition, that there is only one asphalt sprint track. I sure hope that a new track is not the death knell for Barnesville, it has too much history to be lost.

It will only be epic if its not flat. We have the best terrain in this state for a real road course(like RA, Mid Ohio) I hope someone puts it to use. _________________ Shane Metzger |

Jeff,
It is the goal to get the word out to help promote the new track. The only thing we are cautious on is the exact location.
Lets continue to be positive on this new facility. Like Jeremy has said, this will be accommodating kart races, corporate events, track testing and rental. I believe the per day per kart rental for non members will still be reasonable especially when you consider the track, location, elevation changes, facilities, etc.

You guys want to see a Monza for karting, you should go to Kyle Adkins track in Port Washington, Oh. This use to be owned by Randy Kuglers dad. It is so bad *** and steep.
Maybe Rick, Dicky, Michael and others have been there and can comment. _________________ John
