Believe it or not, I would not buy one for the clone. No reason to spend the money on one of those when you can win on a 10 plus year old chassis.

Are saying these karts aren't any good when they are old? Or that only 10 year old karts are good for clones? |

Rick, come on you should not be so confused. Not sure what you are asking, but I will try to answer what I think you are asking. Would I buy a European chassis for the Clone class. Probably not. Why, for several reasons.
1. The right side seat strut usually needs to be cut.
2. Many european chassis' are not going to be free enough for this low hp class
3. Why spend the money on a euro chassis when a low cost 10 year old chassis can win in the clone class. Case in point. Kerry Wilson is on a 199X Invader. Darrin Tebbe is on a 199X Coyote. I believe Carter is on an old chassis. I believe he only spent $300 for it. Not sure about Mike Pugh. But at a min. you have 3 of the fastest 4 drivers in clone using some pretty old and inexpensive chassis'
Last point that I hope answers your question. - It does not matter that much about the age of the chassis for this class, provided it is not bent, cracked or abused. What you want is a chassis that is free off the corners. _________________ John
