You might consider the "Mitty" histric races in late April of each year, at Road Atlanta. It is sponsored by the sister publication of "Gras Roots Motorsports" magizine, which features budget racing article and has had several articles about karting over it's 20 years. To me this would be a great target market.
Also the Georgia Tech Annual Car Show, usually around March 1: it is free and anyhting with wheels is welcome (even one plane!) Again, grass roots of people who want to race, just need to know how to get started.
There was a super kart there last year, but it was too much for the people there: going that fast on big courses was admired, but scared people away from the sport. Clone (buget) and 2 stroke examples would get people interested.
I am afraid that the Petit Lemans might just not be the target market for karting.
I will be happy to promote karting any way I can. I go to these events!
