Kevin, in my experience(and i do have some on the subject) a coil either works or doesn't.
Could it have been a low battery, loose ground/ bad connection? _________________ Chuck Weaver

When the bottom of the coil explodes like a firecracker, that's a bad thing. right Chuck  |

Funny...the first thing I saw when I searched "bad coil" on eKarting forum was a thread from Chuck. Hopefully, I won't need 3 or 4 replacements before finding the problem.
I'm going to clean it real well, check all connections and try again, to make sure I am not overlooking the obvious. The battery was fine, because the replacement coil worked with no problem.
However, I am starting to question my battery replacement from a few weeks ago now. I am going to try recharging the old battery again and make sure that it wasn't a coil issue all along. _________________ Rotax Masters
