|
|
| I had someone email me saying they wanted to buy a kart that I have for sale in the classifieds. He wanted to send me a check right away so as to make sure he could purchase the kart. Turns out it’s totally BS. The scam is to send you a check for the kart and a lot more money for shipping, but you have to use his “shipping agent”. Then I would send my check to the “shipping agent” to pay for the shipping. Everything needs to be done right away so the “shipping agent” can pick up the kart as soon as possible. Problem is the check you get is totally bogus. Nobody picks up the kart and you are out the shipping fee you paid to the “shipping agent”. I’m glad I read about this in the Theft / Protection post on ekartingnews.com. Just thought I would post this since he used the GSKA classifieds to find me. I guess I made a mistake by listing my email address in the ad. |
