|
|
| Hey Everyone. Need some help. I installed a complete Ven99 front brake system on my CRG kart this winter. Ever since I installed the system the kart has pulled to the left to the point where it will spin the kart if you aren't paying attention. I have been driving it this way for the entire 2008 season. I completely disassembled the right front caliper and cleaned, removed the lines and blew them out, and bled the system this weekend. No change. I adjusted the caliper mounting to center everything correctly. No change. New pads. No change. Realligned Kart. NO CHANGE! All the steering components appear to be slop free/ok. I have noticed that I am losing som brake fluid at a slow rate on one of the front right caliper pistons. I am very frustrated and already ordered another Ven99 caliper today. If this doesn't correct the problem I will probably pipebomb the kart. Any thoughts/suggestions? I won't go back to rear brake alone....EVER. Not a good enough driver. HELP!!!! Thanks for any advice. I think you have tried most everything. However several things,
1. Fix the brake that is seeping fluid.
2. Make sure your kart is not bent. _________________ John

Eat some burgers and gain some weight!! The extra weight will flatten out the kart and you'll brake straight as an arrow. _________________ Rotax Masters

Supposing the kart's front left mount point is bent (and it is), how would one go about straightening it?
P.S.: I tried the burger trick, Kevin, and it didn't work. Maybe pork rinds? |
