I finally picked up my 125 cc ICC TM shifter with a MS chassis.I had to get a new seat and it has arrived.I am a novice at shifters.I am 5'10" and about 225-230lbs.How do you determine the seat placement?By the way I have the whole month of July off and will be at Barnseville as much as possible.I would like to hook up with some people for learning.I live in Douglasville. Thanks

The general guideline for seat placement is to have weight load : 43% front and 57% rear, close to 50/50 left to right. MS chassis (is MS a czech chassis?) may be different.
You may ask on mskart.com (.cz) for seat placement documents. |

Seat placement is key and is dependent of the chassis mfg. and model. In addition you need to take into account your height and weight. Ihor is correct in his comments.
In addition, you need to take into account the angle of your seat. Typically set your seat 1/4 in. below the frame rails. In addition, I would put the rear of your seat between 7 1/2 - 8 inches from the top of the axle to the top of the rear of the seat. This measurement really depends on your height, weight, chassis stiffness, etc.
Hope this helps. _________________ John
