I noticed at the last race that a lot of karts had their transponders located ahead of their front wheels, I was under the impression that they had to be at least 8 " behind the front spindle. Please correct me if I am wrong , or if I am correct we need to look into this at the next race.
thanks

I see this happen at national events as well. In Charlotte last Nov I saw guys that had them mounted in the very front of the nose. Hey, if no one is going to tech it, why not.... right?

| Clone Class requires it to be mounted on the back of the seat. It is in our rules. DT knows it and so do the others in the Clone Class. The other classes originally were suppose to be mounted I believe 9 inches back from the center of the front spindle. Reason for the Clones different location was we were using so many different chassis & body work it made it more universal for us. |
