Victory Lane sounds great...
Lots (not whole house) start at $675,000. I can build a separate shop on a lot that starts at $100,000 and the MONTHLY dues are ONLY $2,600. Guess what? I can bring 4-friends at a time to enjoy the track too. Very Happy

Wow, that is some rarefied air, but wouldn't it be cool to roll out of bed, fire up the Ferrari 275 GT/B and pop out on your own private race track for a pre-breakfast session? Never hurts to dream, that's why I keep playing the Lottery

very tounge-in-cheek

Dan, You're forgetting that the front straight at Victory Lane is also an airstrip. So you could fly the G4 into your new neighborhood and drop it at the hangar, then run a few laps in the Ferrari before taking lunch at the club house. Then you could play a round of golf and spend a quiet night at your home on the 14th fairway.

Next day you can put in some laps in your McLaren M6B and then fly the G4 back home.

Now that's a weekend getaway!

And I am sure there are enough Cicadas only 70 miles east of Savannah to keep Jory happy too.

I flew out to Denver this summer with two of the guys building Victory Lane. They said homesite sales are going well.

Matt,
Is this Victory Lane under construction or just preselling to gauge interest?
The 4 guests at a time rule is a little much...

Did anyone figure out where Atlanta Motorsports Park will be located with Google Earth yet?

Guys, even if you do figure out the location, please keep this quiet until Jeremy can give you the answer. It really should not matter at this time except that is very convenient, only 25-30 min from downtown and it will be an awesome facility and track. We do not want any interference at this time. You never know what can come out of the wood work.

As to Victory Lane, Yes they have broken ground.

If you wanted to keep it hush hush, why did you post it on a PUBLIC forum?

I hope it happens.

Matt-
I like your way of thinking. If you are going to go big, go BIG.

I guess if you are contemplating ownership, money isn't an issue. I sure hope that as a private/semi-private track that they will allow some of us mere mortal go-kart riff-raff [ Smile ] have a go at it every once in a while.
I imagine track rental (if available) won't be cheap, but I bet the track surface will be epic.

I sure hope the new Atlanta track comes to fruition, I can only imagine what a logistical, financial, environmental and zoning nightmare it must have been to build a kart facility in this day and age. My hat is off to all those involved.

It seems odd, in a state with such rich racing tradition, that there is only one asphalt sprint track. I sure hope that a new track is not the death knell for Barnesville, it has too much history to be lost.

It will only be epic if its not flat. We have the best terrain in this state for a real road course(like RA, Mid Ohio) I hope someone puts it to use.

Jeff,
It is the goal to get the word out to help promote the new track. The only thing we are cautious on is the exact location.

Lets continue to be positive on this new facility. Like Jeremy has said, this will be accommodating kart races, corporate events, track testing and rental. I believe the per day per kart rental for non members will still be reasonable especially when you consider the track, location, elevation changes, facilities, etc.

Thanks
