The First annual Summit Racing Autorama will be held April 26 and 27, 2014 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, as previously announced.

The Mitty Vintage races will be held April 25, 26 & 27, 2014 at road Atlanta. This event is sponsored by Grass Roots Motorsports Magazine, which has featured kart racing several times over the years as a part of their emphasis on budget approach to racing.

BOTH are great opportunities to promote the GSKA and kart racing. They just happen to overlap.

I am checking on costs to exhibits.

we need to consider members attending both events to get to our target market. C

Like I said in the other post, AMS is on "our" side of town so if that one happens, count us in. If AMS doesn't happen, we might be able to make the trek up to the Mitty.

Edward,
If you haven't found out yet, you need to do your due diligence. Laughing
It's my first choice, but I think Jeff & I will be at Atlanta Motor Speedway instead.

Edward-it was originally called the Walter Mitty Vintage races after the writer James Thurber wrote stories aout this guy, Walter Mitty.

Walter would wait for his white while she was shopping, and he had all these visions of him being a world class race car driver, fighter pilot etc. from the stories The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Believe there is a new movie coming out with the name.

The Mittu got its name because all these everyday drivers were world champions in their own minds. There are amazing cars that show up including Formula 1 cars, Can-am cars, driven by rich-but-not -fast drivers..
