I don't know.. If you haven't been out there, the track has a LOT of elevation change (way more than it looks like on youtube vids), but also a lot of good straightaways.

John Wehrheim mentioned starting at AMP with 11/78 on his Yamaha which would be a 7.09 ratio. At Barnesville I think most Yamaha folks are around 10/83(ish) so an 8.30 ratio. I guess you could take what you're running now, and figure out how that compares to Yamaha and then adjust to be in that 7.09 area.. Just a thought - I haven't seen anything about clone gearing yet!

I'm interested to know the "right" answer here - since we can't make the Dec race, you can be our guinea pig Cool

If someone can tell us what gear they have on the rental karts, we can have a starting point, provided they have a #35 chain. yamahas use a different size than most clone motors..

The rental karts only use the part of the track.

Maybe I'm wrong, but a ratio is a ratio whether its 35 or 219 chain. For instances on my yamaha I typically use an 10/84 (8.40)at Barnesville, but at AMP I used an 11/80 (7.27), this equates to a difference in ratio of 1.13.

So I would apply this ratio difference to your Clone for a baseline.

Just my opinion.

We are going to start with a 20-60. For clone adult.
