Cost about $90. Includes noise reducing soft ear buds. Can only receive from the track official radios. Cannot be used to communicate to/from driver to anyone else.

Used for safety purposes only-the driver would be able to hear the officials including yellow flag and red flag situations and where on the track they are located.

Comments, please..c

$90 up front could definitely scare away some of the one or two time racers. Keep the option to just buy it once, but much like the transponders, have the club buy a bunch of them to rent out at a certain amount per race. Eventually, the club can make money off of them once the startup cost is paid off.

The WKA does not allow any form of communication with the driver. If you are talking about communication from the tower only, that might be possible, but everyone must then have a radio for it to work properly.

We have allowed one way radios for first year Kid Karts and Clone Jr1 only, and in Clone Jr1 ONLY if it their first year of racing.

Jeff-Would be listen only from the tower. Maybe good only for the younger classes.

I personally don't see the need nor the extra cost being necessary. I would understand if we had full coarse cautions like in oval racing but we don't.
