Thanks. How does it know your RPM's and track layout. I dont think the GoPro has GPS.

Danny can chime in on how he does it exactly but from what I understand you export the Mychron4 data using a 'data key' and somehow lay it over the video footage. Danny does also have the Mychron GPS but I don't think that's being used here, could be wrong though.

I know it took him a while this time to get the data to match up with the video.

Matt has it essentially right.

You export your MyChron data from Race Studio, and then import it into dashware. Inside the dashware software there is synchronization tool to line the data up with the video. Mine was being tricky, i would have it perfectly set then export the video. When the video was done exporting the data would be 6 seconds off. As a work around I adjusted the data 6 seconds, then exported the video and it lined up decently (+/- .5 seconds probably).

My kart has GPS, which is what dashware is pulling speed, track position, acceleration forces, and even timing (i think). Still new to me and playing with it.

for those interested, I have been told that AMP will be fixing the dip the 2nd week of July. Hopefully it will eliminate the bottoming out of the kart and hurting your ribs.

Sad

That takes the fun out of it! If you take that correctly there is really no dip from what I've learned.

Though as my first track ever being on I did take it wrong a lot, enough for Dr's orders for no karting for 2 months due to a separated rib! dohhhhh

And second week in July, sure hope they don't cancel the race!!
