Because all that talked or contacted me about rules for next year expressed the desire to follow WKA rules and that is what we did.
We kept Sportsman basically the same as last year and added heavy because it is a local option class and it was growing well so we did not change it. _________________ Kerry Wilson

I heard some talk that some of the racers in Senior Clone last year are thinking that there will not be many wanting to run Pro and think there will be only 2 or 3 running Pro. I also heard that because of this they are going to run Sportsman. All I heard last year was keep the class WKA rules and that is what we did. Now I hear complaining that there won't be many in Pro.
If that is what really happens then I will propose that novice wording be put back and that the board has the right to move a competitor to Pro.
I hope that is not the case and those that ran Senior Clone last year will run Pro this year because all I heard was run WKA rules in Senior clone. _________________ Kerry Wilson

Spent two days at Roberts Kart shop last week mounting vintage tires. Lots of racers in and out. Heard the same talk..c _________________ "kart racing since 1958, was and still the best bank for the buck in motorsports" |

I say we see how it shakes out at the first race and see how it goes. All that has been done is change the name of the class and updated it to WKA rules.c _________________ "kart racing since 1958, was and still the best bank for the buck in motorsports" |

I just don't think that will happen. Those drivers are Amvery competitive lot and love to "race" and not cherry pick. And the bigger pipe will satisfy their need for speed! c _________________ "kart racing since 1958, was and still the best bank for the buck in motorsports" |

Kerry - I would propose that we have a meeting before racing begins with all senior 4 cycle competitors. This would eliminate all the hearsay, and get all of us on the same page.
Thanks Matt Kessinger. |

We are going to stick with the rules as posted. If the Clone Pro class goes away, so be it.
The goal is to have fun, and that is what we are going to try to do.
Nothing wrong with having a huge Sportsman field! _________________ Jeff Bacon

| Jeff - I do not think that is the answer. We are a club not a dictatorship. The club members for these 2 classes are definitely not aligned with the board and the rules package. What would it hurt to have a meeting at the track on Saturday? |

Matt and Everyone,
We will listen and will welcome all recommendations. We are here to promote the sport to help it grow, have fun and race. As everyone prepares their thoughts and recommendations, please consider what is best for the club and the racers as a whole.
If you want to provide recommendations, lets start a new thread or send your us private messages. I will see if Ihor can create a PM that can be sent to all Board Members. _________________ John
