Let's try this again! Lets see a show of hands for the next work day on February 9th.
Our main objective will be to get as many cracks filled in the track as possible to get it ready for paving. We will need trowels of various shapes, brooms, leaf blowers and tools to clean out the cracks (screwdrivers?). We used pressure washers last time, but because of the drying time for the water in the cracks as well as adhesion issues, pressure washers are not recommended. Bring knee pads!
As far as yard work, we will need string trimmers, lawn mowers, more leaf blowers, weed killer and sprayers, shovels, rakes, brooms and whatever else you can think of.
Pit area clean up: we need to clean up loose concrete and patch if possible. Does anyone own a portable cement mixer? We will need trowels, hoses, wheel barrows, brooms.
Fence work: I would love to widen the pit entrance from the track. I have seen too many karts bend axles coming off the track.
Please respond if you can make it and what type of equipment you can bring. _________________ Jeff Bacon

Jeff,
How about a nitrogen bottle and a blow nozzle to clean out the cracks? Should get out all the junk, and leave it dry. I've got one I'll be glad to bring along with some blowers, trimmers, etc.
Chris and I will be there.

| Jeff, if you can find a way to put some heat down on the cracks before and after the patch it will work better. I use a big propane torch and grill tank when I do asphalt patching in the cold. You can pick up a big torch at Harbor freight. The asphalt patch that you purchase from Lowes is the best to use when it is cold but make sure it is a new pallet, if it has been at the store for a while and on the bottom of the stack it does not work as well. If you have any questions give me a call 678-618-3516. |

Connor and I will probably go down tomorrow and make up a BOM for the track exit fencing move, and also add more conduit to the scoring loop cable and get it buried a little deeper where it goes underground so Doug & Tyler don't have to dodge it every time they trim.
We will also clean out the tower & organize it, and will probably swap out the other PA speaker on the tower that's popping & cracking.
I'm not sure if we'll be able to make it next weekend.
