I've spoken to a few GSKA members about watching F1 on the Speed Channel which can be boring at times. I used to watch the F1 coverage from the UK on my satellite, but I have now canceled my satellite and watch it on the internet using the BBC's iPlayer. The only problem was you have to be in the UK or the programs would not play.
Now there's a new way to get at it - which let's you get an IP address in the UK, and then you can watch high quality commentary and all practice, qualifying, race, and post race coverage directly from the BBC website.
First, google or go to Expat Shield and download it. Then you can go to the BBC iPLAYER site in the uk and it thinks you are in the UK. Best of all, they keep each grand prix weekend show for 4-5 days after the race. Don't call me for tech support please, but I got it working on my PC just fine thankfully. Hope it is of interest. So when the new rules take effect and the cars are limited to 12000 rpm and smaller engines, they can get this guy to play the correct engine noises. How cool is this?

That was so real! I especially like how he was able to imitate modulating the throttle in the 7th gear high speed corner. _________________ Tonykart EVRR / Adkins Yamaha |
