So does this mean that if a karter bought a new style clutch recently that there is now a replacement/upgrade for the new style clutch? If so, what is the cost for this repair/fix or is Rotax providing this free of charge. I know they have stood behind their products.

No. It's just a change in the design of the new clutch to improve quality. |
