Was scheduled as the last race of Sat, but got postponed. Then to be first race Sunday, then first race after the lunch break, then the LAST race of he day:

Only 5 karts were entered for this "sprint kart 4 cycle" (the rest had given up and gone home): one animal, 4 clones.

One clone went out with a broken header.

Second went out with a BLOWN rear axel bearing (over heated: took the top off the bearing!) And this team had racing radio's an everything!

My team: George, endurance driver (clocked at 142 earlier Sunday), 45 years old, racing karts since he was 9, his dad, Ron, who is just to turn 70 (years old) and me (63 years young). And Ron and George weigh in at 250-260lbs each!

1 1/2 hour race (shortened from 2 hours): Ron ran 38 minutes, George ran 41 minutes, and I ran 11 minutes: we finished 2nd in our class against an areo, modified clone, and I had mis geared the kart to only turn 4600 RPMs! Little clone ran like a top! Never missed a beat!

Old guys and clones rule! c

OK guys, I am not going to "the other side" ie big track endurance kart racing: It is basically get the kart set up right (gearing etc) floor it and aim it, keeping the rpms up.

I am a Barnesville sprinter first and foremost:

but I had to get my race fix: Same great karting people, attitudes, help etc.

Clone enduro is different: kinna like taking a fun kart on a big parking lot and seeing what it will do.

And I became more sold on clones: 1 1/2 hours full open pulling a 250-260 lb driver, and my (Robert's kart shop) yellow clone never skipped a beat!

Lots of track time, no hassles.

Now for Barnesville Vintage March 25, 26 & 27, 2010, then opening season for Sprints at Barnesville April 10, 2010!

Keep on kartin' c
