cant be too agressive in f1 though. a small bump could turn into massive damage. nascar is just more stable and you can lay into someone more. if f1 could improve the stability of the car then it would provide for some rubbing. i think it was the indy race last year, when patrick ran into someone on pit road and it tore the whole wheel off both of em.

You never saw Senna if you say that
Huh? Have you ever seen an F1 car?

2. the indy 500 last year i beleive (dont hold me to it)
3. Danica Patrick (not saying i like her but she was who got in that wreck)

Like this long open wheel car with a rear wing and open cockpit?
So it is not clear from statements 1, 2 and 3 that you've seen a Formula 1 car.
Making statements about F1 cars durability and then referring to Danica Patrick's crash in an Indy Racing League Dallara at IMS makes it seem even less likely you have seen an actual F1 car.
You are in for a real treat, Tivo the next F1 race they are down under right now and have some weird hours!
Matt,
That picture is priceless Simon and I have a running debate about which car is faster a top fuel dragster or an F1 Car, we just can not come to common ground on where we are going to race each other! I am insisting on at least one turn and he wants to race me in Bonneville

Jeff,
I think you should take him up on the Bonneville option and run the long course. I don't think the Top Fueler will have the tank for the five mile run. Those things burn 20+ gallons in a single 1/4 mile run. He might beat you to 330+ mph, but you should pass him back - by at least mile marker 2 when he's out of nitromethane and coasting. He'll probably trip the lights on the speed trap at about 30mph.
Oh, and see if you can pickup the old BAR F1 bonneville reccord setter that turned 413 KPH at the flats back in '04. It's already setup in a low downforce configuration and Ross Brawn is probably still looking for operating cash in spite of Sir Richard Branson's financial comittment.
As an alternative, you could stipulate that you get to use Gil DeFerran's Penske Honda that ran a 388 kph lap at California Speedway in 2000 in spite of the barn door "Hanford Device" that kart made them tack onto the rear wing to turn the race into an IRL like drafting/passing festival. Top speed during the lap was well over 400 kph and if you put on an old speedway wing setup, you could probably see a sustained 450 kph / 280 mph on through the traps.
I understand Penske's auto dealers aren't doing well, so the captain might be having an asset fire sale. _________________ #711 CRG/Rotax
