i saw brent was selling some of his slightly used D2's. i got a bunch that i'll give away. for some reason, if angus has used them 2-3 times, for us they are done. i got stacks of them in my garage. maybe the micro guys might want them. they are all fronts (4.5's) and if anyone wants a load of them i'll bring a bunch to the first race. we gotta use fresh ones, and can't get away with ones that have time on them. most only have 2-3 times on them, but know that if angus has used them 3 times, they are pretty worn.
i don't know what we are doing wrong, but i know another minimax driver that is still on his first set. for brent or other drivers, can angus change his driving where it's not slower but saves tires? or could our setup be too stiff?

I know Dale has been collecting old tires for Jr AutoXers. He may want them.

I could take a couple sets off your hands, and I know that Alan Maxwell will take about as many as he can get.

Speaking of autox, the first event of the season is March 1 (this Sunday) at Six Flags over Georgia.

The new schedule is good for the Junior Karters, we are in the first run group, and should be done packing up around 10:30 am

The minimum age allowed is 8 years old, there's no need to haul the whole trailer, and on days with reasonable weather afterwards, we're going to play paintball up in Canton.

Richie,
It is in your chassis setup. Birel's should not be eating tires, especially a medium compound like a D2

John, i will have to disagree with you on this one. The mini max is a whole lot of gokart for little bitty tires. Now if he had 6.0 tires on the back i might agree. The bowl at barnesville eats the right rear on the senior karts. Now you take 100lbs off and throw alittle tire on it. The minimax kids will by middle season be in the 22.80 range (or at least one of them). That will be faster than most of the seniors on "less motor". Very Happy Connors kart uses right rears. Maybe not as bad as Angus but i think the difference is in the way the two kids drive. Very Happy Cool

Yeah it might be cold at that time of the day, but just remember to do a good engine warm up before your run, and there should not be any problems. I might would keep tires in your tow vehicle until time for runs, Dale if I come out I volunteer to watch your tires in the Excursion Smile

We used 6 sets last year - 8 race days in Ocala (1 new set), 6 FWT races (3 new sets), 3 in Alabama, 7 in Barnesville (1 new set) plus at least 3 times used D2 on Cadet, Nationals in Wisconsin (1 new) and some used sets for practice in Homestead last January. You can definitely use a lot of rubber in D2, they are very good in qualification and almost no difference if you have 2-3 cycles and 7-8. I'm sure tires Richie is giving away are in very good condition.

I'm sure Angus will be on new tires March 7th, we will not. So looking forward for chasing him (and Connor).
