I would have preferred that Bill chose to use one of the tracks he was considering replacing Ocala with this summer.
It's unfortunate that Homestead is not a place that one could leave a trailer behind at to reduce the fuel costs for the next set of races.
On the plus side, Homestead is a great facility....

While I am in way second guessing Bill's decision as I have no way of knowing the particulars, I would rather raced twice at Ocala, with all of the different track layouts there would be better options there, plus a lot closer, and as Dale pointed out we could have dropped the trailer.
But, atleast we will have a complete series.

When I told Michael about it, his reaction was : "why not Ocala twice?"
Rick, did you mean Monticello? |

| No I meant Ocala, but Monticello would have been okay as well. |

I didn't even think of running two configs at Ocala on two different weekends, which is sad since that's one of the reasons we raced there all season....
Maybe Homestead will be run in one direction in January, then the other direction in February.
I just wish it wasn't the home track for most of Jesse's competition. But racing on their home turf will make it all that much better if we can do well.
Running at Monticello would have been cool, we haven't been there yet either. Maybe they'll run some RMax races there this summer.

Don't get me started on how cool it was to run six different tracks (configurations) in six weekends, 12 races total, this past summer.
I wish Rotax would run Divisional events, racing at several tracks in a region/division in hopes of drawing karts from several tracks at once. It would help a lot when it comes to Grand Nationals... |

Just announced, Free Trailer Storage and the February direction is reversed.
That should negate some of the hometrack advantage and if we don't tear a lot of stuff up on Sunday could mean a lot lower fuel cost for transport.
I'm not elated, but I am happy. |
