Sean,
I don't have the answer to that question, but.... I'm pretty sure we'll be going to the Dublin track on Friday to show some support, practice jetting the carb, and finish off the tires from Shawano.
If your kart has arrived, I can walk you through some of the maintenance and setup options to get you on track.
Make sure the balance gear oil is in the sump before running it, same with the distilled water in the radiator. |

That would be GREAT. I've got the kart, and can bring it, but don't have tires that can be driven on yet.
Let me know when you know for sure. |

Sean,
If you are running a 12 front, then 87 rear is a good starting point. Ihor's suggestion on the 11 front is in line with everybody that I know.
Also, since Dale mentioned the radiator water...if storing your kart where the temperature drops below freezing overnight, keep it drained until you are heading out to the track. They will freeze up and cause very expensive damage if you're not careful. We don't run antifreeze so there is no protection against the cold.

| I suggested 11 because for Barnesville with front 12t your rear sprocket is too close to the ground. But if you have 12, you will need it, as well as 13 (Jacksonville, Monticello) and 16 (TGP, Road Atlanta, Savannah). |

I've only run a 12 tooth front driver and I've been competitive at both Barnesville and Monticello, so don't feel like you HAVE to buy this or that for each track.
I ran 12/77 in Monticello and was within .4 seconds of the leader per lap(running 3rd-5th out of 12).
Ihor is correct about Barnesville being better with an 11, because you eat up less rear gears when you go off. But I'd say on average, I kill a gear every 2-3 races, and they are only $20 a piece, so not too big of a deal compared to the cost of tires. Even with an 11 tooth front, it's still possible to eat a gear at Barnesville in certain places, but it will definitely be less frequent.
Just sharing my experience, didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. |

At least we're not still digging the wires from steel belted radials out of our tires...
