Jeff, I think we should have it after the RMax races and the RMax Nationals, probably in October. The 24th perhaps?

Since we will be putting twice as much time on our motors, perhaps this could be a double-points race.

Clarence, I've already offered the drive to my friend Jeff, the videographer. Sorry. Sad

I like the idea of a single kart per team, so we have more potential participants. Man...I guess that means my kart will actually have to run more than 10 minutes before breaking in a day. Upset

OK, let's make this interesting:

Eric Penz has just posted in the announcements section about a 50-lap enduro for shifters--with a cash prize.

So let's hijack his idea. How about we ante up $50 each driver (in addition to race fees) for a purse:

Winner: set of Mojos (or YHCs) and 2 club race fees (value about $300)
Place: 4 club race fees (value: about $160)
Show: 2 club race fees (value: about $90)

If we get 11 karts, this will pay for all the prizes. Any additional karts means extra dough, which will pay for apres-race beers.

I need to call Chris Wehrheim . . .

Shouldn't this possibly be first discussed with the ROTAX director since it's a ROTAX race? Confused

It's a TAG race. I mistakenly wrote "Rotax" in my first post.

Team Mauney is in. I recruit Alan if no-one else has yet, as long as he can't fit in my kart.

Yes, Alan, I think about a year from now would be good, so that some can concentrate on official RMax races and the Nationals. But hey, I'm not objecting to any other date.

I'm thinking that perhaps we could do what John suggested earlier in this thread--make the clone enduro and the TAG enduro on the same day. If so, we may want to consider the enduros as a separate day from the usual club races.

In this scenario, we would have just two classes racing that day but there would be a LOT of karts and drivers. With only two classes, we'd still have enough time for drivers to practice and get the two 1-hour races in.

So far, we have 5 karts:

Team P. French
Team K. French
Team Mauney: Mauney (call Eric Penz, you two would be tough to beat!)
Team DeJoseph: DeJoseph and Maxwell
asport: White and Walrich

I think if we get our usual 10-12 from our club, we may be able to get the Bakers Creek guys to come, as well as some Florida karters. If we want to consider cash prizes, I think we may be able to get 20 TAG guys here.
