Some of you probably noticed a guy at the track shooting some video. His name is Jeff Walrich, and he teaches and coaches at the same school as me, in addition to being a videographer. He took a great deal of video from three cameras he brought to the track, one of which was a helmet cam. He has since edited it and made a karting "documentary" that he will enter into a contest. He's won video contests in the past, and currently has contracts to shoot video for Hammer Strength (weight-training equipment) as well as a Mixed Martial Arts card of fights at Paris Island in SC.

The time limit for this contest was five minutes, and there's about 60 seconds of actual footage on the track. The rest was in my pit, and he interviewed me in my Jeep while driving to the track.

My sincerest apologies to Jamie Maholik--his spin made the final cut!

... and I had some Zaxby's...

That was awesome. He did a great job, and the helmet cam footage really came out good.

Too cool Daniel!!! We may really need to consider having him do a promotional video for the club. That is first class!

Patrick also has a helmet cam so we could get multiple angles for a single race and compile them.
