Ryan is fine, he has a tire shaped scratch on his shoulder and a small bruise. His mobility is fine.

We wanted to thank the EMS staff for all of their help and attention that they gave him. It is great to have the help there. THANK YOU!

Glad to see Ryan is OK.
He looked rough there for awhile. But he is a tough guy and got on the kart again.Good job Ryan. And on the bright side.... you have a trophy on your arm that you can show off at school on Monday .Laughing
Also ...The race up front between Steven and Skylar was awesome!!!
That was the best race I think I have seen at Barnesville.
Swapping leads 2 times a lap just about every lap.
Good job guys!!!!

Rick Sweeting makes a sweet looped bumper that will cover the back tires to keep that from happening in the future.
It is going to mandatory next year.
Oh...unless you like riding on the back bumper.
Again....great job guys!!!!

Joshua that is a good question.
I know that the WKA recognizes the clone now but I believe it would be a local option rule.
Personally I have always ran a full width bumper for 3 reasons.
1 being safety(keeps other karts from riding up your back)and 2 being an advantage(instead of someone riding up your back tire it gives you a boost when someone hits you there)and #3 keeping your axle from getting bent when someone nails your rear tire.(This happened to Dan in Charlotte at the nationals)
I looked for the article I read about it and couldn't find it right off hand .
When I find it I will post.
