After the big pile up in turn 2 yesterday in the Clone feature I'm not sure I would like the barriers there.

I agree Michael.
Although I think it would be a great idea along the fence to replace the tires.
It would also serve well to give the corner workers and flagmen a buffer as well as putting some a few feet off the track off of turn 1 to keep people out of the woods and off the moto track like you did earlier this year.
They do have a place but I agree that we do not need them down at turn 2.
I would rather go in the grass just like I did this weekend in the lap 1 crash.
If we go with this put me down for 1.

The plastic barriers would replace the current tire barriers. Because of their design, the track would actually have more runoff, not less. We also need to get together with the new track owners about improving overall track safety.

Depending on the track, more specifically the areas of high speed vs. low speed will determine where barriers are placed. In alot of cases a string of barriers will not be placed right at the edge of the track, they may be placed further back to allow a kart or karts to scrub off speed before impact in high speed areas. In low speed areas you may want to have the barriers closer to the track.

At our track ( www.f1outdoors.com ) we have barriers placed in a variety of areas depending on the needs of the track.
